REMKOR Ship Repair Company

REMKOR LLC is a ship repair and shipbuilding company specializing in shipbuilding, ship repair and the manufacture of metal structures of any complexity. The company's production site — one of the largest in the Azov-Black Sea region — is located on the south-western coast of Crimea in Sevastopol, at the crossroads of sea routes from the Mediterranean to Russian ports. The company performs a full range of works on repair, maintenance, re-equipment, modernization and docking of vessels of all types and purposes up to Panamax size. The 16,000 m² production workshop includes hull-outfitting, painting, fittings repair, ship machinery repair, turning and grinding, balancing and heat treatment sections. The machine park comprises 280 units of equipment. The company has a dry dock measuring 290 × 36 × 11 meters (Panamax), equipped with portal cranes with a lifting capacity of 10 to 80 tons (6 units), winches, hoists, a propeller shaft dismantling device, centralized supply of natural gas, oxygen, compressed air, fresh and sea water, an extensive power supply system, cleaning and painting equipment. The Sevastopol dry dock has a rich history: it was built in 1911–1915 according to the design of academician Vladimir Shukhov, the general drawings were personally approved by Emperor Nicholas II, and it was grandly opened on 6 July 1915. Work is performed in accordance with the requirements and under the supervision of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and the Russian River Register.
